Liguria is a very long and narrow region that hides incredible breath-taking views! The Riviera’s centre is Genoa, which divides it into two main sections: the Riviera di Ponente (“the coast of the setting sun”), which extends westwards from Genoa to the French border; and the Riviera di Levante (“the coast of the rising sun”) between Genoa and Capo Corvo.

It is famous for its mild climate, old fishing ports and towns that from the sea climb up the cliffs and mountains, overlooking the huge sea. Sometimes, it can be quite difficult to reach by car, especially Cinque Terre, which instead can also be reached by train. These towns are very close to each other and it is really hard to put into words what your eyes see…
